CIMA Enoteca on Locke Street South offers a focused slice of Italy in Hamilton’s vibrant dining scene, centering on authentic Italian fare with a strong emphasis on wood-fired pizza and pasta dishes. The restaurant caters to those who appreciate quality ingredients and traditional techniques without the fuss of overly stylized presentations.

Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a warm, lively atmosphere that balances the buzz of a social night out with spaces intimate enough for date nights. Soft yet upbeat background music weaves through the dining area, setting a tone that’s inviting for both small groups catching up and quieter dinners. Service tends to be attentive and approachable, enhancing the overall relaxed but polished vibe.

The heart of CIMA’s appeal lies in its pizza and pasta offerings. The Margherita pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven, draws particular attention for its light and airy crust with a slight chew and a delicate crispness—clearly a labor of skill and care. For those who enjoy sharing, the option to build your own charcuterie board allows for a more personalized start to the meal, featuring thoughtfully selected cured meats and cheeses. Other highlights include calamari served two ways—fried and grilled—each paired with sauces or seasonings that balance indulgence and freshness.

Dishes like the Bucatini Amatriciana and gnocchi al tartufo showcase the kitchen’s willingness to explore rich, comforting flavors without tipping into heaviness. Dessert, including traditional tiramisu and warm bombolones filled with sweet surprises, rounds out the experience on a sweet, familiar note.

Pricing leans toward the higher side, reflecting the quality of ingredients and craft behind each dish, which makes it a choice spot for special dinners or weekend nights out rather than casual day-to-day dining. Fridays and weekend evenings are especially lively, attracting a mix of locals looking for a convivial yet refined meal.

In sum, CIMA Enoteca fits neatly into Locke Street’s eclectic food landscape as a place where the art of Italian cooking is respected and enjoyed in a setting that feels both grown-up and welcoming. Visitors who appreciate a well-crafted pizza, a curated wine list, and attentive service will find plenty to savor here.

CIMA on Locke Street is hands down one of the best pizza spots I’ve ever been to! I ordered the Margherita pizza, and I genuinely can’t stop thinking about it—easily the best pizza I’ve ever had. The dough was absolute perfection: light, airy, slightly chewy with that perfect wood-fired crisp. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. What blew me away even more? You can actually buy their pizza dough to take home! It’s that good—they know people are going to want more of it. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, with a welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the charm of Locke Street. Friendly staff, great service, and top-tier ingredients—this place is a must-visit whether you’re local or just passing through Hamilton. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Great date venue. Nice selection of pizza and pasta dishes. For the pizza oven I would reduce temperate little bit and increase time of pizza in the oven by little bit to get an optimum coked pizza

On the pricier side but I had a great experience. The aperol spritz was perfect, and they have the option to build your own charcuterie board. I haven’t visited for dinner yet but I plan to!

We started with the calamari fritti and lamb skewers. The calamari came out golden and crispy, but all the flavor was in the romesco sauce which really carried the dish. The lamb skewers had great garlic and rosemary seasoning with pink peppercorns, though the meat leaned a little dry. The pastas were impressive. The gnocchi al tartufo was pillowy soft with a rich truffle cream that I really enjoyed. The casarecce alla Gigi, even without pancetta, was excellent. The rose sauce was flavorful and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The Margherita pizza was a standout. The edge crust had the perfect char while the center stayed soft and the balance of tomato, mozzarella, and basil felt spot on. A drizzle of chili oil took it to the next level. We ended with tiramisu in a jar which was a lovely finish. It had light layers with subtle flavors and the crunchy hazelnuts on top gave it a nice texture. Service was great throughout and Erika really helped with choosing the dishes and made the experience even better. Overall the meal felt well rounded with some highlights, great presentation, and balanced flavors.

Hands down one of my favourite restaurants. I don't know what is in the Caesar dressing that makes it so amazing but I CRAVE it. Soppressata pizza is to die for and the Tagliatelle pasta is so yummy. Our experience tonight was enhanced by our lovely and very attentive server Danielle C! She suggested dessert and I'm now also obsessed with the Tiramisu, which is so creamy and just the perfect size to finish the meal. Ten stars!

We got a chance to try CIMA Enoteca this past weekend. Very nice, clean restaurant with an industrial feel. The service was great and very friendly. We ordered the fried calamari to start, it was ok, it didn’t taste like it was fresh, a little rubbery. The pizzas were amazing, the sauce was light and nicely seasoned, the cheese and toppings were a good amount and were high quality. The crust was excellent, very airy, crispy and simple. Overall it was a very good first experience at CIMA, I would definitely recommend you check them out if you are in the area or looking for a great new pizza to try.
